Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adon Amossou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adon Amossou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenny Wood!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood misses with a low kick.
Adon Amossou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wood throws a chopping leg kick but Amossou manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Wood smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Amossou tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wood is able to avoid easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Amossou wants to sweep here but Wood controlling him for the moment.
Amossou is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wood is pushing down on Amossou's leg trying to pass to half guard. Amossou is fighting to maintain full guard but Wood has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wood cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Wood is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Amossou is surviving well by controlling Wood's body position as best he can.
Wood connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Amossou tries to hold on but Wood pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenny Wood dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Amossou takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Amossou moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Wood bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amossou prevents Wood from moving into mount.

Wood is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Amossou knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Amossou has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wood is working away from the top position though.
Wood is nestled in close to Amossou, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kenny Wood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Wood lands with a hook. Amossou tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Some bone on bone action there as Wood checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wood perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Amossou scores with a kick to the body.
Amossou has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wood finds it's way round the side to connect with Amossou's head.
Amossou tries to land a front kick but Wood steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The fighters circling - Wood throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wood keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Amossou goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wood keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wood connects with a good right hand that stumbles Amossou. Amossou circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Amossou throws a leg kick but Wood sees it coming and moves out of range.

Wood shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wood winds up and cracks Amossou with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kenny Wood is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Wood throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Wood is trying to control the action in half guard but Amossou is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Adon Amossou has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wood working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
