The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonnalose throws a looping overhand right but Berry ducks down to avoid it.
Berry tries for a takedown but Gonnalose sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gonnalose throws a right and a left that Berry avoids nicely.
Berry wants to clinch.
Berry lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gonnalose at a distance.
Berry shoots for a double leg takedown but Gonnalose sprawls well. He's pushed Berry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gonnalose leaves Berry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Berry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Berry wants to clinch.
Berry gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gonnalose.
Berry tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gonnalose swivels and escapes.

Gonnalose is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Berry looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gonnalose is fending him off so far but Berry persists. Nope, Gonnalose circles away and we're back to standing.

Gonnalose walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Berry drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Gonnalose swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Berry's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
