Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bada Bada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lorik Kapllani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kapllani is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Vampire Weekend - Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa. Bada Bada has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bada uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kapllani.
Bada closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bada lands in his opponent's guard.
Kapllani working a defensive guard here.
Kapllani really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bada wants to control from the top but Kapllani keeps moving.

Bada ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kapllani throws the left hand but Bada avoids the punch easily.

Bada swats away the attempt to clinch by Kapllani.
Kapllani takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Kapllani misses with an uppercut.
Bada avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Bada scores with a nice right hand.
Kapllani scores with a jab to the body.
Kapllani throws a leg kick which misses Bada's front leg but catches the back leg as Bada tries to avoid it.
Kapllani misses with a head kick.
Kapllani loads up on a big right hand but Bada slips the punch.
Kapllani throws a hook but Bada avoids it easily.
Kapllani throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bada ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kapllani lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bada has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bada and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kapllani throws a series of punches but Bada moves out of range.

Lorik Kapllani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bada uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kapllani.
Bada uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kapllani.
Bada misses with an uppercut. Kapllani saw that one coming.
Bada shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kapllani sprawls well. Kapllani wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bada gets slowly back to his feet.
Kapllani shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kapllani tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bada slips under a jab from Kapllani.
Bada throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kapllani fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bada manages to avoid it.
Kapllani throws a hook to the side of Bada's head but Bada sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kapllani missing with a left hand there. Bada was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bada uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kapllani.
Kapllani staying out of range there.
Bada checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bada scores with a shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Kapllani misses the target.
A big left from Bada misses.
Kapllani misses with a body shot.
The fighters circling - Kapllani throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kapllani will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kapllani looks to land a combination but Bada avoids it well.

Kapllani blocks a jab.
Bada scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kapllani doesn't seem bothered though.
Bada bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A head kick misses from Kapllani.
Kapllani slips a jab from Bada.
Bada gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bada has an Americana. Kapllani didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bada is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bada hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Bada Bada!
