Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Buckley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Costa has chosen Head Dance as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckley cracks Costa with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.


It looks like Eduardo Costa has been cut.
Bill Buckley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Costa on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Buckley throws an overhand right that lands on Costa's shoulder, as Costa tries to avoid the shot.
Costa shoots in for a double leg but Buckley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Costa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Costa wants it to stay on the feet.

Buckley has his foot on Costa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Costa works his way back into a safe position though.

Costa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Buckley with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Costa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Buckley defends it well.

Costa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Buckley is staying active underneath Costa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Costa tries to close the distance and clinch but Buckley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Buckley shoots for a double leg takedown but Costa sprawls well. He's pushed Buckley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Costa turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Buckley had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Costa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Buckley Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Costa's back instead.

Buckley has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Costa! Can he survive? No! He's out! Buckley gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
