Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinchenzo Fratello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fratello's choice of entrance music: Made You Look. Fedor Lesnar could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vinchenzo Fratello's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vinchenzo Fratello!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar tries to close the distance and clinch but Fratello swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lesnar just misses with a punch to the body.

Fratello scores a takedown into full mount!
A nice elbow there by Fratello.
Lesnar is looking to get to half guard.
Fratello raining down shots from the mount!
Lesnar is trying to escape the mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesnar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fratello is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Fratello stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lesnar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Fratello decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lesnar's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Vinchenzo Fratello showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


A combination from Lesnar does no damage.
Fedor Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lesnar throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fratello fails to land the takedown.
Fratello closes the distance and clinches up with Lesnar, looking for a takedown. Fratello pushes Lesnar against the cage but Lesnar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Let's hope that Fratello has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Fratello lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fratello slips a nice elbow through Lesnar's hands, connecting with Lesnar's forehead.
Lesnar has hold of Fratello's hands but Fratello slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Fratello lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lesnar down.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fedor Lesnar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I've got Fratello winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
