Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Gontier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hav Breaston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gontier might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Three Days Grace - Break. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gontier scores with a takedown into Breaston's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gontier is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Breaston escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gontier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gontier forces his way into half guard.

Gontier is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gontier is pressing down on Breaston's thigh, looking to free his foot. Breaston is holding on for now.
Breaston regains full guard. Nicely done.

Gontier got a little sloppy there for a moment and Breaston has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gontier has managed to get both his arms back between Breaston's legs - danger averted.

Gontier has gone for a leg lock! Breaston slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gontier's guard.

Breaston postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gontier is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Breaston, into his guard.

Breaston is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Breaston is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gontier is aware though and is defending well.
Breaston looks gassed!

Gontier is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Breaston manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Breaston jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gontier is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gontier and Breaston has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gontier is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Breaston's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Gontier lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Breaston!
Breaston wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Gontier is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Breaston is forced to tap! Great finish!
