Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lance Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyle comes to the cage accompanied by Keep Yourself Alive. Mills has chosen FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES - Deth Kult Social Club as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronald Mills!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boyle circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mills tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Boyle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mills avoids it really well and circles away.
Mills moves in looking to clinch but Boyle pushes him off.

Mills closes the distance and clinches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

You get the feeling that Mills really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Mills is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boyle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mills sprawls well initially but Boyle persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

and Mills counters with a head kick.

Mills makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mills tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Boyle counters with a shoot takedown. Mills fights it but they end up in guard.
Mills wants to stand and escape but Boyle is having none of it.
Boyle is standing up over Mills. Mills looks to escape but Boyle dives into side control.
Mills is trying to get back to his feet.
The referee asks Boyle politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Boyle prefers to stall for the moment though.
Boyle is looking to take a break and control but Mills is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boyle tries to move to mount but Mills blocks the move with his legs.

Mills pushes Boyle away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Boyle gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mills throws a head kick but Boyle moves out of range.
Lance Boyle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Boyle counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Boyle.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Boyle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mills tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Boyle counters with a shoot takedown. Mills fights it but they end up in guard.
Lance Boyle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Boyle shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boyle showed some decent athleticism there.
Mills looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boyle shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mills defends it nicely.

Boyle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boyle controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Mills is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Mills connects with a knee to the head.
Mills pushes off an throws an elbow but Boyle leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Mills tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Boyle avoids it.
Mills is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Boyle is defending well for now.

Boyle has clasped his hands together around Mills's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Mills tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boyle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
