Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lions Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minard comes to the cage accompanied by Walk. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Some wild striking there from Head.
Minard tries to score with a low kick but Head moves his leg out of the way.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Head.
Minard tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Head tries for a kimura but Minard is defending well.
Minard is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Minard throws a solid leg kick but Head takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Minard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Head is trying to break the clinch but Minard has him pressed against the cage.

Head wants to stall.
Minard lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Lions Head has been cut.
Head trying to control the position but instead, Minard has worked for underhooks and has pushed Head into the cage.
Minard lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Minard lands a good knee to the midsection. Head won't want to take too many of those.
Minard lands a body shot in the clinch.
Head looks gassed!
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Minard lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Minard lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Minard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Head closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Minard to the mat! Minard manages to get full guard.

Minard manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Head tries to get back to half guard but can't.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Minard can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Head is looking to escape.
Head wants to control but Minard is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The fight stays on the outside here - Head looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Head swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Minard throws an overhand right that lands on Head's shoulder, as Head tries to avoid the shot.

Lions Head is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Head thows a body shot but no joy.
Head lunges at Minard with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Minard's hand.
Head moves into range and connects with a jab.
Minard bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Head's head backwards.

Lions Head's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Head shoots in for a takedown but Minard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Minard swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Head tries to clinch but Minard moves out of range.

and Minard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Minard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Head is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Minard rather than just go for the knockout.
Head tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Minard thuds his right hand into Head's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Head closes this distance looking for a takedown but Minard circles away.
