Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brent Squires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Warren Westside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Westside is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Queen - Another One Bites The Dust. Warren Westside struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brent Squires!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Warren Westside!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Westside gets caught flat footed, as Squires shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Westside has momentary wrist control but Squires slips an elbow through the middle.
Squires with a flurry of punches that miss.

Westside throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Westside preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Squires accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Squires wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Westside, who protects the arm well.
Squires lands a nice forearm strike.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

A frustrated look appears on Westside's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Westside wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Squires has him pressed against the cage.

Squires knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Westside on the ground.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Squires's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Squires will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Westside up against the cage.

Squires wants the takedown. Westside is fighting it off but Squires persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Westside's guard against the cage.

Squires is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Westside is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Squires might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Squires misses with a knee to the head.

Squires tightens his grip and picks Westside up, before dumping him to the ground. Westside manages to land in guard.

Westside looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Squires is defending well. Westside quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Squires has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Westside celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
