Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ness Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Cardinal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardinal has chosen In Mourning - In The Failing Hour as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ness Webster is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardinal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Webster as he avoids it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Webster pushes down on Cardinal's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Webster wants to control but Cardinal is keeping him busy.

Cardinal had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Webster defends it easily.

Cardinal throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Webster escapes and throws Cardinal's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Webster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Webster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cardinal, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Cardinal is looking for a sweep. Webster is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Webster is keen to just control but Cardinal is a slippery customer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Webster swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cardinal is now in Webster's guard. A big mistake from Webster there, giving up the dominant position!

Cardinal postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Webster is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cardinal, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Webster is looking to advance position but Cardinal won't allow it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Webster connects with a nice short shot to Cardinal's temple.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Webster blocks a head kick by Cardinal.
Cardinal throws a hook to the side of Webster's head but Webster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cardinal chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Webster can pounce on him.
Cardinal throws a series of punches but Webster moves out of range.
Cardinal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cardinal gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Webster counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Webster uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cardinal.

Cardinal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Webster to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Webster is in close to Cardinal's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Webster postures up and lands a big shot to Cardinal's brow.

Cardinal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
