Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between AJ Kross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jim craig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that AJ Kross has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily AJ Kross seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kross throws a sloppy head kick and craig moves out of range easily.
AJ Kross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
craig doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kross misses with a wild combination.
Kross takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
craig throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kross avoids a punch combination nicely.

and craig counters with a big uppercut that knocks Kross off his feet! craig dives into side control looking to finish!

Kross is rocked!

It looks like AJ Kross has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

craig throws an elbow but Kross slips to the side and avoids it well.
Kross is trying to control craig's posture but craig avoids it.

craig is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kross is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

craig wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kross, who protects the arm well.
Kross tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but craig wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
craig tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kross tries to improve position but can't.

craig tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no craig has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The ground and pound from craig seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Kross's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kross is breathing heavily.
Kross tries to clinch but craig moves away
and craig counters with a three punch combo that has Kross backing up. Kross nods at craig to acknowledge the strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
craig scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kross in his tracks.
jim craig is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kross misses with a double jab

and craig counters with a right hand that sends Kross tumbling to the canvas! Can craig finish him? He dives into Kross's guard looking to do just that!
Oh Kross is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

craig throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kross seems to have got his legs back now.
craig chips away with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
craig cracks Kross with a solid left hand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
craig smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
craig throws a jab when Kross was well out of range.
The fighters circling - craig throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Kross scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
craig is looking to regain half guard here but Kross keeps moving and retains side control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kross changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. craig tries to avoid it but Kross manages to keep hold of a leg and drag craig to the ground. craig escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

AJ Kross's cut is getting worse.
craig lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Kross can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from craig and Kross drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by craig.
