Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Couture has chosen Kashmir as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gordon Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Couture!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman misses with a head kick.
Freeman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Couture defends it nicely.
Freeman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Couture manages to avoid it.
Both fighters circling a little - Freeman finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Freeman slips a jab and a cross from Couture.
Freeman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Couture pinned against the cage. Couture gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A head kick from Freeman lands but Couture takes it in his stride.
Couture tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
No luck for Freeman with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gordon Freeman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Freeman counters with a flying knee. Nice.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Couture tries to close the distance and clinch but Freeman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Couture darts in and clinches Freeman up against the cage.
Couture wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Couture tries to circle away but Freeman has him pinned against the cage.
Couture can't break the clinch.
Freeman tries to score a body lock takedown but Couture shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Couture has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Couture looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Freeman fails to pull guard.

Freeman pulls guard effortlessly.
Couture pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Freeman is keeping the position for now.
Couture trying to control but Freeman is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Freeman has his foot on Couture's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Couture works his way back into a safe position though.
Freeman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Couture's guard.

Freeman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Couture fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Freeman shoots in for a takedown but Couture shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Freeman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Couture misses with a few strikes there.
Couture tries to close the distance and clinch but Freeman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Couture digs a good hook to Freeman's body.
Freeman misses with a takedown attempt - Couture sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Freeman.
Couture throws a series of punches but Freeman avoids them all with ease.

Couture gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Couture breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Couture thows a leg kick but Freeman checks it
and Freeman counters with a nice body kick.

Freeman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Couture did well to prevent Freeman getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Freeman is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Couture is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
