Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between pieter von petre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark dansted (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark dansted was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from von petre. No joy for dansted on that attempt.
dansted will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
dansted misses with a takedown attempt - von petre sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
pieter von petre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark dansted.
dansted fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
dansted tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but von petre paws at him with a jab and circles away.
von petre throws a nice outside leg kick.
dansted looks gassed!
von petre lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
von petre feints and then cracks dansted's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow dansted down.
von petre throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Good leg kick by von petre there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

von petre has taken the fight to the clinch.

von petre turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and von petre manages to end up in side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
von petre working the head with strikes.
dansted is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
dansted takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

It looks like Mark dansted has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
von petre remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
von petre works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
dansted takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That has opened up Mark dansted's cut even more.
dansted is not content to let von petre control the position.
von petre working the ground and pound.
von petre cracks dansted with an elbow. That is naaassty.

The cut above Mark dansted's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark dansted's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
