Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Crash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Crash!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crash tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Crash looks to throw the jab but Henry is out of range.
Crash throws a right hand that Henry ducks under and follows up with a left that Henry also avoids with ease.
Crash throws a jab when Henry was well out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Crash misses the target.
Crash thows a left - swing and a miss!
Crash takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Henry throws a right and a left that Crash avoids nicely.
Henry throws a head kick but Crash moves out of range.
Henry wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Henry throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Crash was covering up waiting for the punch and Henry finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Henry prevents Crash from getting back to his feet.
Henry thows a big elbow that misses.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Crash escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Henry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Henry wants to stand but Crash is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Crash utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Crash has his foot on Henry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henry works his way back into a safe position though.

Crash is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Henry defends well.

Henry rushes Crash and presses him up against the cage.
Henry goes for a takedown attempt but Crash pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Henry closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Crash to the mat! Crash manages to get full guard.
Henry wants to get up but he can't break Crash's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Henry stands and steps away. Crash gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Henry works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Henry is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Henry lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Henry tightens his grip and picks Crash up, before dumping him to the ground. Crash manages to land in guard.

Henry thows a huge punch but Crash dodges it nicely.

Henry escapes and gets back to his feet.
Crash swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Henry changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crash looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Henry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Henry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Henry throws an elbow but Crash slips to the side and avoids it well.

Henry stands up and beckons Crash to his feet.
Crash blocks a head kick by Henry.
Henry misses with a wild combination.
Henry ducks under a wild hook from Crash.
Michael Crash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Crash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Henry manages to avoid it.

Henry rushes Crash and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Henry breaks the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Henry dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Henry fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Crash leaves Henry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Crash throws a nice looking combination but Henry bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Henry looks to land a combination. Crash sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Henry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Henry lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Henry.

Henry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Henry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Henry is going olschool here, as he tries to force Crash to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Crash shrugs it off.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Crash in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
