Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Makuku Kukula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and First Name (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kukula throws a right hand that Name ducks under and follows up with a left that Name also avoids with ease.
Kukula shoots in for a takedown but Name shows good takedown defense.
Name throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Name fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kukula manages to avoid it.
Name looks for a takedown but Kukula sprawls well.
Kukula sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Name is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kukula can't fight it off and eventually Name manages to take the fight to the floor. Kukula looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

I looks like Name might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Name throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kukula's waist but Kukula gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Name off to one side.

Kukula lands with a slapping head kick.

Name shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kukula but Kukula pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Name changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kukula looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
