The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
van Duyven has managed to clinch.
van Duyven crunches a lovely knee into Mcpipper's ribcage.
van Duyven breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A left and a right from Mcpipper both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Gerard van Duyven has been cut.
van Duyven tries to clinch there but Mcpipper circles away.
van Duyven feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mcpipper's calf.
No joy there for Mcpipper, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
van Duyven throws a series of punches but Mcpipper avoids them all with ease.
Mcpipper digs a good body shot into van Duyven's ribs.
Mcpipper dodges the punch combination from van Duyven.
van Duyven misses with the combination.
van Duyven is breathing heavily.
van Duyven throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mcpipper counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mcpipper wants to land a leg kick but van Duyven is out of range.
Mcpipper ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
van Duyven has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
van Duyven is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
van Duyven moves in looking to clinch but Mcpipper pushes him off.
Oh van Duyven is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mcpipper dances in with a quick combination. van Duyven is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Mcpipper snaps van Duyven's head back. van Duyven stumbles backwards against the cage. Mcpipper steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with van Duyven's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. van Duyven just didn't come prepared.
