Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximillian Malkavain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maximillian Malkavain!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malkavain defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Liddell.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Malkavain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Malkavain tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Malkavain gets underhooks to prevent Liddell's takedown attempt.
Liddell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Malkavain gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Malkavain comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Malkavain pushes off an throws an elbow but Liddell leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Malkavain is trying to maintain a safe position but Liddell gets an underhook and turns Malkavain into the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Liddell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Malkavain walks away with a smile on his face. Liddell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Malkavain moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Liddell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Malkavain swivels and escapes.
Malkavain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Liddell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Malkavain rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Liddell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Malkavain lands a big head kick that sends Liddell tumbling to the mat! Malkavain takes a step backwards and waves Liddell back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Shane Liddell's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Malkavain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Liddell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Liddell throws out a leg kick but Malkavain moves out of range and Liddell only half commits.
Malkavain throws a combination. Liddell tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


Jeez, Shane Liddell's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shane Liddell's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Maximillian Malkavain!
