Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Howie Mandell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rainer Hagert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mandell comes into the arena with Yes blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hagert's choice of entrance music: Romanimies laulaa. Howie Mandell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hagert lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mandell will feel that in the morning.
Mandell throws a nice looking combination but Hagert bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mandell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hagert sprawls well. Hagert wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mandell gets slowly back to his feet.
Hagert lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Howie Mandell has been cut.
Hagert slaps away a takedown attempt from Mandell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mandell is looking to clinch but Hagert is avoiding it.
Hagert connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mandell. Mandell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A punch lands to the side of Mandell 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hagert moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hagert leaves Mandell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Howie Mandell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Hagert counters with a nice leg kick.
Hagert fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mandell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mandell is breathing heavily.

Hagert stalks Mandell and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mandell's face. Mandell staggers backwards, shaken.
Mandell doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hagert counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mandell's knee momentarily.
Hagert lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hagert scores with a one two! Mandell had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Howie Mandell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mandell takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Hagert throws a front kick that sends Mandell stumbling back into the cage.
Mandell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hagert, as that shot connected.
Hagert is working the combinations to good effect here.
Hagert is looking to slow Mandell down with leg kicks.
Mandell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hagert to score with a decent uppercut.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mandell. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
