The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake tries to close the distance and clinch but Monson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Drake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Monson is fending him off so far but Drake persists. Nope, Monson circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Jeff Monson has been cut.
