Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Fegar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Catalina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Catalina is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catalina misses with a jab, cross combination.
Catalina listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Fegar fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fegar lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Catalina takes the fight into the clinch.

Catalina throws a sloppy head kick and Fegar moves out of range easily.
The fighters circling - Catalina throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fegar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Fegar looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Catalina throws a nice looking combination but Fegar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fegar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Catalina but Catalina pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Catalina counters by moving into the clinch.
Fegar jumps guard but Catalina stands there with Fegar around his waist. Fegar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Fegar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Catalina doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Catalina manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

and Catalina decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fegar's guard.

Catalina shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fegar's guard.

I really don't envy Catalina right now.

Fegar is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Catalina has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Fegar is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Catalina controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Catalina is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Catalina turns into Fegar and is now in his guard.
Catalina is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Catalina has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
