Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Haminall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Plant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haminall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkle. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haminall looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Plant!
Plant wants to hold on but Haminall pushes him away.
Haminall controlling the pace for now.
Haminall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Despite being in the dominant position, Robert Plant just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Plant gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Haminall to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Plant is doing well to control the position and prevent Haminall from advancing to side control.
Haminall wants to pass to mount but Plant is defending the position.
Haminall looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

and Haminall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Plant won't be happy with that.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Plant might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Haminall kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Plant wants to control but Haminall is having none of it.
Plant is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Haminall is staying active.
Plant is breathing heavily.
Plant tries to reverse the position but Haminall maintains control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Plant is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Plant gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Haminall dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Haminall drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Plant tries to control but Haminall manages to take his back.

Plant manages to reverse the position and now he's in Haminall's guard. Nice work there by Plant.
Plant takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Plant wants to control from the top but Haminall keeps moving.
Haminall wants to get back to his feet but Plant is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Matt Haminall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Haminall throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Plant was covering up waiting for the punch and Haminall finishes the takedown easily into guard.
