Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loaf comes to the cage accompanied by Empire State of Mind. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy Loaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Silva!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loaf pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Loaf looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Loaf displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Loaf but Loaf pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Loaf shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Silva regains half guard, as Loaf was trying to land strikes.

Silva is looking to improve his position.
Loaf is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Loaf has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Silva is in trouble now - Loaf has advanced to mount!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Loaf controlling the pace for now.
Silva takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Loaf throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Silva can't escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Loaf has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silva's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Loaf misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Loaf cracks Silva with a big elbow.
Loaf sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Silva is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Loaf works to advance to full mount. Silva defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Silva is in a horrible position here. Loaf smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Loaf lands a big elbow.
Loaf lands a heavy elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Loaf lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Silva hang on?

Loaf jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Silva is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Silva and Loaf has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Silva wants to control but Loaf postures up.

Silva takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Loaf lands a nice forearm strike.

Loaf tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Loaf has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Loaf wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy Loaf dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Silva has his takedown stuffed

and Loaf counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Loaf landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Loaf lands a nice short elbow.
Loaf content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Silva blocking the ground and pound attempt from Loaf.
Loaf sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silva defending well though.
Loaf wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Loaf wants to advance to full mount but Silva doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Loaf wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Loaf trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Loaf advances to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Loaf lands strikes from half guard.
Loaf is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Loaf throws a strike but Silva avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Loaf controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Loaf seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.
Tommy Loaf overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Loaf doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Loaf manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Loaf controls the pace.
Tommy Loaf is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tommy Loaf just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Loaf drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Loaf wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Loaf lands some shots froms side control.
Loaf cracks Silva with a big elbow.
Loaf is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Silva will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Rodrigo Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Tommy Loaf showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Loaf has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
