Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willis William!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karelin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches William napping and manages to drive through into side control!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if William can do anything to dispel that myth.

Karelin has control of William's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and William regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

William swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

William is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
William cracks Karelin with an open hand slap.
Karelin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as William sprawls well. William wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Karelin gets slowly back to his feet.
Willis William is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

William clinches up against the cage.
Karelin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but William gets the underhooks and prevents it.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from William.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from William.

Karelin pulls guard effortlessly.
William must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

William keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Karelin's head.

Karelin is looking for a triangle but William pushes his legs off easily.

Karelin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. William gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
William trying to control but Karelin is working from the bottom.
Karelin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in William's guard.

William is pulling down on Karelin's head to control his posture.

Willis William showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



William drops Karelin with a beautiful combination! Karelin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - William is looking for the KO!

It looks like Alexei Karelin has been cut.
William throws an overhand right that has Karelin reeling! William follows up with more punches and Karelin is out cold! This one is all over!
