Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cung Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cung Le has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rusty Jenkins's chin.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Le moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Le drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Le has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jenkins is proving hard to escape from.
Jenkins wants to stand and escape but Le is having none of it.
Le stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jenkins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Le drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Le jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Le prevents Jenkins from getting back to his feet.
Le sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jenkins's guard.
Jenkins is trying to stand up here but Le is controlling him well.

Jenkins tries to kick Le off but Le keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

It looks like Cung Le has been cut.
Jenkins throws a right hand that Le ducks under and follows up with a left that Le also avoids with ease.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jenkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Le to the mat! Le manages to get full guard.

Le has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jenkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Le is rocked!
Jenkins cracks Le with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Le tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jenkins pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Le is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
