PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheep Shane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane has chosen 2pac-Gangsters paradise as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shane throws a big shot that misses.
Shane throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice shot lands for Shane.
Machida tries to clinch but Shane is having none of it.
Shane lands an overhand right.
Shane digs a good body shot into Machida's ribs.
Machida wants to clinch.
Shane avoids the head kick by Machida.
Machida tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Shane gets caught flat footed, as Machida shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Machida is pushing down on Shane's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shane is fighting to maintain full guard but Machida has managed to sneak the leg through.

Shane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shane seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sheep Shane just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sheep Shane dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Machida takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Machida shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shane as he jumps to the side.
Shane throws a right and a left that Machida avoids nicely.

Machida tries to close the distance and clinch but Shane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Shane fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shane bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Machida's head.

Shane lands with an uppercut that bounces Machida off the cage and back into rage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
