Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Murpy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Tuffs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murpy comes to the ring accompanied by Victory. Tuffs has chosen Korn Blind as his entrance music. Trevor Tuffs has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murpy takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Murpy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Murpy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tuffs is trying to defend but Murpy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Tuffs wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Murpy is looking to advance position but Tuffs won't allow it.
Tuffs trying to hold on to Murpy's head to control him but Murpy postures up.

Murpy is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Murpy blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Tuffs changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Murpy fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Murpy shoots for a takedown but Tuffs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Tuffs circles away from the clinch attempt.

Murpy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tuffs's guard.
Murpy is looking to work some ground and pound but Tuffs has wrist control.

Tuffs controls Murpy momentarily but Murpy frees himself.
Tuffs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Murpy!

Murpy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Murpy can't escape the position.

Tuffs jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Murpy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Murpy and Tuffs has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Tuffs has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Murpy!

That was a close round but I would say that Charlie Murpy will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Murpy is defended easily by Tuffs.

Murpy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tuffs is looking to escape.
Murpy has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tuffs's face.

Murpy wants to control the pace but Tuffs is squirming around nicely.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Murpy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tuffs looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Tuffs tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murpy was well out of range. Poor timing from Tuffs.

Murpy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tuffs but Tuffs pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Tuffs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Murpy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tuffs defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Murpy.
Murpy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tuffs looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Horrible takedown by Murpy or perhaps it was just good defense by Tuffs which made him look bad.

Murpy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tuffs defends well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tuffs wants to control from the top but Murpy keeps moving.
Tuffs might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Murpy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Murpy has his foot on Tuffs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tuffs works his way back into a safe position though.

Tuffs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Murpy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tuffs has managed to get both his arms back between Murpy's legs - danger averted.

Charlie Murpy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Murpy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tuffs is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tuffs has escaped and now he's on top!

Charlie Murpy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Murpy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
