PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Scab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pep Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hernandez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Superstar-Lupe Fiasco. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez moves in looking to clinch but Scab pushes him off.

Hernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Scab is pressed up against the cage. Hernandez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Scab down to the mat. Scab avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Scab got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hernandez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scab has managed to get both his arms back between Hernandez's legs - danger averted.

Hernandez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Scab's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Scab's back!

Scab is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hernandez gets his way!
