With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Jericho!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jericho looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Machida!
Poor strikes thrown by Jericho there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Machida trying desperately to get to his feet.

Jericho looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Machida is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machida is squirming around, avoiding Jericho's attempts to control the action.
Jericho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Machida is looking to get to half guard.
Machida knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jericho on the ground.

Jericho gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Machida fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jericho slaps away a takedown attempt from Machida, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Jericho throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Machida was covering up waiting for the punch and Jericho finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jericho is pushing down on Machida's leg trying to pass to half guard. Machida is fighting to maintain full guard but Jericho has managed to sneak the leg through.

Jericho takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Jericho stands up out of the half guard.

Jericho is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Machida's half guard.
Machida is breathing heavily.
Jericho is keen to just control but Machida is a slippery customer.
Jericho is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Machida!
Machida can't escape the position.

Jericho stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Jericho throws a head kick that misses.

Machida looks to land a combination but Jericho avoids it well.
Jericho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machida circles away quickly and effectively.
Andrew Jericho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jericho thows a body shot but no joy.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jericho.
The referee asks Jericho politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jericho prefers to stall for the moment though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jericho in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Machida is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
