The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Belfort scores with a head kick.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Belfort drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Belfort decides to stand back up. Belfort steps back and let's Silva get back to his feet.
Silva ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Silva jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Paulo Belfort has been cut.

Belfort changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Belfort paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Silva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Silva connects with a nice cross there... Belfort is looking wobbly and Silva recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Belfort to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Silva jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
