PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Pastra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Illidan Stormrage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pastra's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dr Dre - Still Dre. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pastra is looking to clinch.

Stormrage bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stormrage works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Stormrage thows a huge punch but Pastra dodges it nicely.

Pastra is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stormrage's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stormrage's back!
Pastra will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pastra wants to control but Stormrage is keeping busy.
I really don't envy Stormrage right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pastra tries to get the hooks in deep but Stormrage pushed the leg off.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Travis Pastra just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Stormrage will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stormrage shoots for a double leg takedown but Pastra sprawls well. He's pushed Stormrage's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stormrage keeps the fight on the outside.

Stormrage shoots in looking for a takedown. Pastra tries to sprawl out of it but Stormrage keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pastra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pastra tries to close the distance and clinch but Stormrage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Stormrage shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stormrage showed some decent athleticism there.

Stormrage closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pastra did well to prevent Stormrage getting side control.

Stormrage is looking to stall in half guard but Pastra is in no mood to hang around. He's locked up a Kimura from the bottom and has used it to sweep! He's held on to the kimura and is looking to finish here... will he get it... YES! Stormrage taps out and the crowd goes crazy! Great finish!
