The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sunrise.
Sunrise shoots in but no luck this time.
Silva missing with a left hand there. Sunrise was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sunrise is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Sunrise wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

Sunrise fails to land with a series of punches.

Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sunrise to the mat! Sunrise manages to get full guard.
Sunrise is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Silva passes into half guard.
Silva wants to pass to mount but Sunrise is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva stands up and beckons Sunrise to join him on the feet.

and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sunrise's guard.
