Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alan Wren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Beamer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jim Beamer enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alan Wren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jim Beamer!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beamer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wren.
Wren connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wren slips under a jab from Beamer.
Beamer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wren was well out of range. Poor timing from Beamer.
Beamer throws a shot from downtown. Wren moves away and avoids it.
Beamer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Wren.
Wren fails to land with a series of punches.
Wren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beamer's waist but Beamer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wren off to one side.

Wren misses with a takedown attempt - Beamer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Wren is fighting to break Beamer's control of his arms but Beamer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wren wants to control from the top but Beamer keeps moving.
Beamer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wren's guard.
Beamer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wren had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Beamer defends it easily.

Wren has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Beamer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wren.

Wren seems a little lost for a moment, as Beamer dominates the positioning.

Beamer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Beamer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wren fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beamer avoids it really well and circles away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Beamer stuffs the takedown attempt from Wren. Wren gets slowly back to his feet.
Beamer throws a hook to the side of Wren's head but Wren sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Beamer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wren throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Beamer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
