Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mini Bard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and pj lamma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bard comes to the cage accompanied by It's Catching Up (NoMeansNo). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bard tries a head kick but it misses.

Bard leaves lamma with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

lamma shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than lamma was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

lamma working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

lamma goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bard is on top in guard.

Bard would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Mini Bard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

lamma swings around for an armbar but Bard sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into lamma's guard.

Bard gets to his feet - lamma follows without any prompting.

Bard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close round but I would say that Mini Bard will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

lamma shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bard sprawls well. Bard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. lamma gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bard feints and then cracks lamma's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow lamma down.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! lamma crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bard - the referee stops the clock and lamma gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bard. lamma manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
