The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finkle fails with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Starr is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Starr pushes down on Finkle's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Starr is keen to just control but Finkle is a slippery customer.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Starr is working for a kimura but Finkle is defending it quite comfortably.

Starr is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Finkle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Starr drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Finkle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Starr has Finkle in his guard.

Starr is looking for a triangle but Finkle pushes his legs off easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Starr is controlling Finkle's posture.
Finkle preventing the sweep.
Starr working a defensive guard but Finkle passes into half guard.
Starr is holding on to half guard well.
Starr gets full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Finkle drops back, looking for a kneebar! Starr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Starr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Starr !

The referee stands the fighters back up. Justin Starr just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Finkle counters by moving into the clinch.
Starr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Finkle smiles and moves away.

Starr bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Finkle is not content to let Starr control the position.

Starr goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Finkle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Starr but great work by Finkle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Finkle tries to advance to mount but Starr denies him.
Starr is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Justin Starr showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Starr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
