Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carl Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Berry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berry connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Allen 's hands.
Allen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Berry swivels and escapes.
Berry lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Berry takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Berry fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Allen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Berry pinned against the cage. Berry gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Allen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Berry circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Allen . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Allen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Allen shoots in for a double leg but Berry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Berry bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Allen 's head.

Berry cracks Allen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Allen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Berry finish him?

Berry connects with a stiff jab that staggers Allen - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
