Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Masahiro Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanaka is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Durden drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Durden looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Tanaka is trying to improve his position.

Durden looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Durden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tanaka manages to get back to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Durden in particular looking to stall.
Tanaka is trying to maintain the position but Durden is very close to passing his half guard.

Tanaka looks like he's trying to stand up.

Durden wants to stand but Tanaka has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tanaka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Durden gets to his feet - Tanaka follows without any prompting.

Durden closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tanaka is staying active underneath Durden, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Durden tries to lock up and control but Tanaka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Tanaka is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Tanaka extends the arm and Durden is forced to tap!
