Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and marcus davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawson comes to the cage accompanied by Anarchy in the UK. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Lawson is going olschool here, as he tries to force davies to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so davies shrugs it off.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

davies's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Lawson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lawson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
