PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Cazelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Franco Cazelli!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Stevens with that takedown attempt.

Stevens moves into the clinch successfully.

Stevens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cazelli has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevens has managed to get both his arms back between Cazelli's legs - danger averted.

Cazelli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cazelli bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Stevens's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Stevens will probably get the nod.

You get the feeling that Stevens really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

You can see the frustration on Stevens's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
