Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between josh mccabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black has chosen Broken Beat and Scarred as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black rushes mccabe and presses him up against the cage.
Black crunches a lovely knee into mccabe 's ribcage.
mccabe is working for takedown but Black is calmly controlling the position for now.
mccabe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Black smiles and moves away.
mccabe walks into a stiff left hand from Black.

mccabe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than mccabe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

mccabe looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Black wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with mccabe . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

mccabe jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Black manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
