Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ken Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Cranium!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cranium tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cranium somewhat.
Hall tries to clinch but Cranium moves out of range.
Cranium tries for a takedown but Hall sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hall has his takedown stuffed

and Cranium counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hall regains half guard.

Cranium is working for a kimura but Hall is defending it quite comfortably.
Hall is trying is best to control the position here.
Cranium is thwarting Hall's attempts to control the position.
Hall works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hall is trying to control the position but Cranium postures up.

Cranium gets to his feet - Hall follows without any prompting.
Cranium circles away from the clinch attempt

and Cranium counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hall!

Hall flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Hall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cranium working for a submission but Hall is keeping him at bay.
Hall wants to hold on but Cranium pushes him away.

Cranium is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hall has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hall really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hall swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Cranium tries to control but Hall wriggling away.
Hall is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Cranium stands up from mount. Strange move.
Cranium looks gassed!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cranium doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hall counters with an outside leg kick.
Ken Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Cranium.
Cranium gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hall is trying to control the action in half guard but Cranium is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hall working Cranium over with strikes.

Cranium is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hall pulls his head out easily.

Hall is looking for a kimura here.

Hall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cranium doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hall.

Cranium actively working from the bottom here.
Cranium is trying to get back to full guard.
Cranium is pressing down on Hall's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cranium looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hall is one step ahead there.

Cranium looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hall thows a big elbow that misses.

Hall has gone for a leg lock! Cranium slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hall's guard.

Hall working for a triangle but Cranium defends it easily.
Hall controls Cranium momentarily but Cranium frees himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hall throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Cranium dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Cranium is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hall's half guard.
Cranium wants to stand up but Hall is controlling the position.
Cranium trying to pass the guard but Hall defending well.
Richard Cranium has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hall moves into full guard.

Hall looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cranium would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Cranium preventing the sweep.
Cranium has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hall is proving hard to escape from.
Hall trying to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cranium stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cranium stands up from Hall's guard - Cranium perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hall tries to clinch up.

Cranium shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hall tries to get to full guard but Cranium has control of the leg.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cranium is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hall has managed to free his arm - good work.

Hall controlling the position well.
Hall trying to hold on to Cranium's head to control him but Cranium postures up.

Cranium seems to be looking for submissions.

Cranium is working for a kimura but Hall is defending it quite comfortably.
Hall throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Cranium seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Hall is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
