Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jordan whittiker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jari Nieminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nieminen has chosen Raised Fist - Wounds as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jordan whittiker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jari Nieminen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
whittiker is looking to clinch but Nieminen is avoiding it.
whittiker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nieminen.
whittiker tries a head kick but it misses.
whittiker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nieminen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

whittiker tries to keep at a distance but Nieminen has taken the fight into the clinch.
whittiker is trying to drag Nieminen to the mat but Nieminen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
whittiker lands a nice uppercut.
whittiker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Nieminen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Nieminen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. whittiker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Jordan whittiker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jari Nieminen.
Nieminen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. whittiker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

whittiker tries to throw a body punch but Nieminen avoids it by throwing whittiker back against the cage.

whittiker has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nieminen regains guard immediately.
whittiker lands a couple of elbows.

Nieminen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
whittiker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nieminen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

whittiker passes Nieminen's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Nieminen wants to sweep but whittiker has passed to side control!

whittiker is looking to take a break and control but Nieminen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Nieminen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

whittiker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nieminen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nieminen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Nieminen avoids any damage from the ground and pound of whittiker.
whittiker misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Nieminen counters with a single leg into guard. whittiker didn't expect that.
Nieminen looking to sit in guard and control but whittiker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

whittiker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nieminen is controlling him.

whittiker is looking to get back to his feet here but Nieminen is keeping cool and he's managed to take whittiker's back.

whittiker is trying to defend against the choke here but Nieminen has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Nieminen Tightens the hold and whittiker taps out furiously! Nieminen displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
