Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hector Troy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin has chosen Heat it up as his entrance music. Hector Troy has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Troy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reggie Franklin!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Troy wants to clinch up but Franklin keeps it at a distance.
Troy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Franklin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Franklin clinches but Troy breaks the clinch
and Troy counters with a series of strikes. Franklin will be more careful next time no doubt.
Franklin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Troy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Troy lands a really nice looking cross but Franklin seems unphased.

and Franklin counters with a shoot takedown. Troy fights it but they end up in guard.
Franklin working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Franklin is looking to work some ground and pound but Troy has wrist control.

Franklin postures up in Troy's guard and throws a big left but Troy blocks it.

Franklin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Troy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Franklin has managed to get both his arms back between Troy's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Franklin gets to his feet. Troy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Troy throws a hook but Franklin avoids it easily.
Troy closes the distance but Franklin moves to the side

and Franklin counters by clinching up.

A head punch on the inside from Franklin fails to land.
Franklin misses with the head strike.
Franklin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Troy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Franklin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Troy regains guard immediately.
Franklin looks gassed!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Franklin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Troy throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Franklin postures up in Troy's guard and throws a big left but Troy blocks it.

Troy looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Franklin passes into side control.
Troy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Troy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Franklin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Franklin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Troy has escaped the position, nice work there.
Franklin prevents Troy from escaping the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Franklin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Troy is trying to control Franklin's posture but Franklin avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hector Troy will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Troy tries to clinch up

Franklin keeps control of Troy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Franklin can't get the takedown.
Franklin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Troy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Troy throws a combination that misses

and Franklin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Troy won't be happy with that.
Troy tries to bench press Franklin off him but Franklin keeps the position.
Franklin wants to control but Troy is keeping him busy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Troy has his foot on Franklin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Franklin works his way back into a safe position though.

Franklin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Troy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Franklin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Franklin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Franklin forces his way into half guard.
Reggie Franklin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Troy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Franklin scores with a couple of nice shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Franklin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Franklin is in the full mount, landing strikes.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Franklin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
