Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damen Slash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hotaka Yoshifumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hotaka Yoshifumi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshifumi takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Slash shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Slash jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Yoshifumi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Yoshifumi and Slash has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Slash tries to advance to mount but Yoshifumi denies him.
Yoshifumi tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Yoshifumi is looking for a sweep.
Yoshifumi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Slash throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Yoshifumi works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Slash lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Slash is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slash thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Yoshifumi to regain full guard.

Slash is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yoshifumi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Slash.
Yoshifumi is trying to maintain the position but Slash is very close to passing his half guard.
Slash thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Yoshifumi is not content to let Slash control the position.
Slash wants to pass the guard but Yoshifumi is defending well.

Slash with a flurry of punches that miss.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Yoshifumi doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Slash counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Yoshifumi looks gassed!
Slash wants to control from the top but Yoshifumi keeps moving.

Slash working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Yoshifumi's head.
Yoshifumi throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Yoshifumi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Slash has picked Yoshifumi up and slammed him! Yoshifumi can't keep hold of the triangle and Slash manages to pass to side control!
Yoshifumi is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
A lull in the action here as Slash stalls from top position.

Slash knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yoshifumi on the ground.

Slash throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Yoshifumi's head.

Slash bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Slash prevents Yoshifumi from escaping the position.

Yoshifumi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slash is working away from the top position though.

Yoshifumi looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Slash is defending well. Yoshifumi quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Slash has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Yoshifumi celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
