The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marion dodges the punch combination from johnson.
Marion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? johnson is fending him off so far but Marion persists. Nope, johnson circles away and we're back to standing.
Marion shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

john johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quinn Marion.
Marion shoots in for a double leg but johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Marion circles away.

Marion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Marion is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
johnson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Marion is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Marion is retaining full guard.

johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marion has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Marion's legs - danger averted.
Marion can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as johnson controls the pace.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
johnson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Marion escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
johnson controls from within his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that john johnson will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Marion shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and johnson counters with a head kick. That will keep Marion thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marion looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Marion is not content to let johnson control the position.
Marion is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but johnson is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

johnson wants to control but Marion is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Marion is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marion.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Marion wants to pass the guard but johnson is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marion drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Marion has johnson in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
johnson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

johnson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Marion to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! johnson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Marion pulls down on the head and he's put johnson to sleep! This one is all over!
