The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims throws a head kick but Lilke moves out of range.
Lilke dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Sims counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lilke pushes Sims off and gets back to his feet.
Lilke lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sims circles away quickly and effectively.
Lilke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lilke throws a sloppy head kick and Sims moves out of range easily.
Lilke paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Sims uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lilke.

Lilke lands a big head kick that sends Sims tumbling to the mat! Lilke takes a step backwards and waves Sims back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lilke throws a hook to the side of Sims's head but Sims sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sims closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lilke makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Sims fails with a takedown attempt.
Sims slips under a jab.

and Sims counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Lilke looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Lilke goes for a takedown attempt but Sims pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sims changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lilke tries to avoid it but Sims manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lilke to the ground. Lilke escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lilke cracks Sims with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Lilke cracks a nice hook into Sims's ribs.
Lilke feints and then cracks Sims's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sims down.

Sims walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Lilke connects with a jab.

Sims is rocked!
A head kick by Lilke - that's a beauty! Sims is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Lilke can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
