Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geoff Ivoire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivoire tries to score a power double leg takedown but Newman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ivoire somewhat.
Newman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ivoire as he jumps to the side.
Newman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Newman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ivoire is trying to defend but Newman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
