The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fofana.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Muresan's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Despite being in the dominant position, Gheorghe Muresan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Muresan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fofana.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Muresan! Fofana is out on his feet! Muresan rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Fofana is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Fofana is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
