Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Weeds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Weeds.
Weeds shoots in for a takedown but Gibson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Weeds shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gibson as he avoids it easily.
Roy Gibson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rich Weeds.
Gibson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Weeds.
Weeds fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gibson, pushing him back against the cage.
Weeds is trying to drag Gibson to the mat but Gibson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gibson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Weeds is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Weeds keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gibson's efforts to push away.

Weeds has hold of one of Gibson's legs. Gibson is fighting the takedown attempt but Weeds gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Weeds with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Gibson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gibson tries to get out of the position.
Weeds passes into half guard.
Gibson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Weeds on the ground.

Weeds in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gibson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Weeds!
