The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skate tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Skate closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kennedy is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Skate is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kennedy has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kennedy is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Skate is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skate tries for a kimura but Kennedy is defending well.
Kennedy pushes Skate away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Skate gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kennedy is wriggling around trying to escape but Skate has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Kennedy taps out and Skate picks up the big win! Great work there by Skate!
