The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trancoso connects with a jab.

Sims looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Trancoso!

Trancoso tries to lock up and control but Sims gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sims throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Trancoso is working to get back to half guard.
Trancoso tries to hold on but Sims postures up.

Sims is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Trancoso has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Trancoso!

Trancoso stands up and waves to Sims to follow him.
Trancoso scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sims doesn't seem bothered though.
Trancoso lands with a straight right. Sims didn't see that one coming.
Trancoso lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sims at a distance.

Trancoso cracks Sims with a hook to the temple - Sims is on wobbly legs here! Trancoso swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Sims falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Trancoso wins by TKO!
